Happy 12th Year Anniversary

12 years ago... I was a chubby 8th grader.... 13 years old... did something crazy by going to this thing called a YFC Camp.

So yeah... Happy Anniversary =)

Tonight I spent an amazing time with 60 random strangers that talked and shared about their faith. Of course Fat Francis was behind all of it... but yeah... just made me realize how crazy God works through us for His purposes and pleasure. Oh reading PDL again. My 3rd attempt, but doing ok. Behind a chapter or two, but I'll catch up.

Lent 2008 = Giving up Laziness... working out an hour for 40 days. Goodtimes and Bad. I come home late tried, but all worth it in the end.

Trying to be less selfish in life, so pray for me in 2008.

What else... I'm in LOVE with 2008.

So, I've been around... just on www.pumalibu.multiply.com more than this now. But I'm not a blogger as much this year... I wonder why? Oh well...maybe next year... since 2008's theme is gonna be:

What else... Pasko 2007 was awesome. I never even got to tell you about my life after that Oct 2007 entry... in a nutshell... yay for Costa Rica and NM7... True Love Waits (I promise)... and Biba Las Begas Baby!

Back to Pasko 2007 ---- I cooked! So the elders were working on Christmas Eve and Day, so Jeff and I were in charge of dinner =) Praise God it worked out. Eprops to Manang Bert for letting me use her secret recipe =) Tickle me Elmo is still a hit... more with the oldies than the newbies. I don't have much to say right now... so yeah... Happy Birthday Jesus! Newest favorite pic courtesy of my god-daughter.... SOFA!

Respect Life Day 2007

Life Chain in Long Beach CA at Del Amo Blvd and Lakewood Blvd. Yoooo it was beautiful because it was different people standing up for life. Different as in race, sex, age, etc... that's always the best part.

My favorite was watching this little white boy scream out "JESUS LOVES YOU!"..."DON'T KILL YOUR BABY!"... then looks up at his dad and asks..."Dad, how long are we out here" (mind you it was like 90 degree's in the hot sun)... daddy says "About an hour".... kid makes a '1 hour in the sun!' face... and looks forward and starts reciting John 3:16.

You had to be there.

AND... being the doubting Thomas I am... I actually was expecting tons of honks and pro-choice responses, BUT throughout the hour I was there... we got so many pro-life honks and thumbs up!

I love Pro-Life. =)

PS... I'm going to Costa Rica til the 20th for our first ever Singles for Christ Americas Continental Leaders Forum! Pray for us!

Day with Mother

Yooo... so today was funny because my mom was off since she's leaving for Chicago today at 5pm from LGB.... anyway... she came into my room and told me to get ready and said, "halika na... mg bonding na tayo... or whatever you call it"and left.

aaaaaaaaaahahahahahahaha

On our way to eat... I told her about NW7 UNplugged, blah blah blah.. played her the CD... ahahahahah annnd she was like... oh that's nice.. then after a while she was like... I'll just pay you $5 to stop playing the CD because it was giving her a headache... I laughed... kept it going.. then she said... I'll give you $10 just to donate and you keep the CD because she would never listen to it again... oh man... I guess you just had to be there...

Then more good stuff... k, ate at Rubio's because I wanted fish tacos, but for some reason she wanted Elephant Bar. Basta... yum. Anyway, so my mom just lost one of her close friends last week from cancer... then it was like wow... it must be hard for her even more like how we all dealt with the passing of E$. Ironically after lunch, we went to visit them both... Tita Zeny and E were buried in the same place.

Tita Zeny was buried by her parents... so my mom said Hi to both of them...

So yeah... she just wanted to say bye before she went to Chicago.

Then... we were about to leave and my mom stops half way to the car and says... "teka muna... pa paalam muna ako..." and turned around and made the sign of the cross as she walked back to the grave...

Then we went to visit Erwin...

I promise I'll stop by next year...

But yeah.... bottom line... the two women in my life both lost best friends to cancer this year... talk about lamentations and hope... this is why they're both the strongest women I know...

PS... what a great way to end the night with our 4th ever Homie HH. Gabe said it best when he said that with times like these you really feel God tapping your shoulder and saying "You miss this!"
